"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

We ventured out to the Dark MOFO festival on Friday night, the shortest day of the year, the Winter Solstice.  It was freezing, it was bustling with people and parking and navigating was beyond chaos but we did it! And very glad we did.

I will elaborate and show the rest of the photo's in my next post.  Or you can check them out now on the iSophie Facebook page.

3 of the boys enthralled with the giant whale (with a turtle head) hot air balloon.

Voltorb wanted to take his own pictures with his iPad, so proud!

Little Pichu was very unsettled by all of this weirdness and decided he would not get out of the pram, and insisted we leave almost immediately upon arriving.  Hence there is no photo of him up close with the lights.

I did however snap this with my iPhone.

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Not a huge fan of getting his head wet, who would have guessed?

The last three were taken before swimming lessons this week.  The camera lens was fogging up and there were kids splashing everywhere, hazardous indeed!  Pichu was home sick with Daddy, so his portrait came from the bathtub.

Pichu knows the drill.  Dog sees food, dog will steal food.  Or attempt to.

I really do not recall anything of interest going on, but he sure looks like he has seem something amazing!

Son #2 with one of his birthday cakes.  It ends up being a marathon event with 2 cakes and 2 lots of class pokeball cupcakes (he was home sick the first time).

A perk of living on a property, endless adventures in our own backyard.  And all in the comfort of your uggies.

Richmond Portraits (21/52)

 Week 21

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

It's a construction site at our house and we have trucks, excavators and equipment all over the place.  We just love this old Ford truck.

I took the boys, minus Pichu (home with Daddy having his nap), to Richmond. Here they had all climbed up a very steep hill.  Oshawott became stuck so Voltorb came to the rescue and showed him the way down.

Yes, is it almost winter.  Yes, we live in Tassie.  Yes, the water was freezing.  Yes, my boys just don't care!  Voltorb is walking on water!

Legoman was taking in the beauty of the Coal River.

Week Eighteen Portraits - Extended version

Here are my week 18 portraits, for Che and Fidel's 52 week project.

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Over the last few weeks we have been visiting our family in Broken Hill.  I was excited to be able to photograph my Nieces and Nephew over that time and decided to share some of my favourites in this week's 52.

Pichu looking very proud of his ability to produce water on command for his brother.  All I can say is you were very trusting there Oshawott!

I slowed the shutter speed here to be able to capture the water moving more slowly, hence the blurred dancing movements.

His first time fishing and he caught one!  Here he is bringing his catch to proudly show Grandma and Grandpa.

 A perfectly happy Voltorb.

Legoman monkey's around.

And another one just because I can!

My youngest Niece, and very difficult to photograph.  I have -many- photos of her cross eye'd, tongue out, being a meerkat or a bunny, the list goes on!

A boy and his dog.  My Nephew having a dog hug.

Two more gorgeous nieces (inside and out!).

Another attempt at playing around with shutter speed, what do you think?

Some of my favourites from last week:
The Golden Adventures of a very dark horse.
Modern Day Mummying
Ingrid Lerstad
No Frills Mum
